Framed Fledermaus – The Sleepy Bat

“No matter where you were in the cave you could hear the little bat snore, as it murmured under its breath ‘Just one minute more’. As the sun sank the other bats happily took flight, leaving the bat there to sleep through the entire night.”

This one-of-a-kind, wooden bat is cut on my scroll saw from natural hardwood, and illustrated with mix of ink, gouache, and watercolor.

The frame measures 4x4x1 inches, is stained, embellished, and may be wall mounted with the attached sawtooth hanger, or displayed on any flat, level surface.

This bat will arrive with a print of its accompanying poem.
